The guitarist Babis Papadopoulos, well-known from his work with the band Trypes but also from his solo career afterwards and his collaboration with various musicians, has marked the Greek music scene.
In his concerts titled Babis Papadopoulos Electric Solo he presents a program with his own instrumental compositions, musical pieces from his whole career with strong elements of improvisation. In this musical journey, using his guitar, fx and loops, drifts from lyricism to the world of sound impressions, creating strong images of moods and emotions and eventually all these elements contribute to making his sound so remarkable, recognizable and after all much loved.
In June 2022 the Babis Papadopoulos Electric Solo project recorded live at studio Royal Alzheimer Hall in Thessaloniki and in December 2022 published the homonymous album on Defkaz.

Γεννηθήκαμε ΧτεςPuzzlemusik, 2023
Την άνοιξη του 2023 ο Μπάμπης Παπαδόπουλος κυκλοφορεί το όγδοο προσωπικό άλμπουμ του με τίτλο Γεννηθήκαμε Χτες.
Το άλμπουμ συγκεντρώνει τρία σημεία ιδιαίτερου ενδιαφέροντος στην ως τώρα προσωπική δισκογραφία του: για πρώτη φορά, μετά από χρόνια, ηχογραφεί τραγούδια, για πρώτη φορά μελοποιεί ποιήματα και για πρώτη φορά τραγουδά και ο ίδιος.
Το άλμπουμ περιλαμβάνει πέντε οργανικά κομμάτια και έξι ποιήματα των Χρήστου Μπράβου, Μηνά Δημάκη, Θεόδωρου Ντόρρου, Ζήση Οικονόμου, Δημήτρη Ι. Αντωνίου, Έμιλυ Ντίκινσον (μετάφραση: Μαρία Δαμολή), στα τρία από αυτά τραγουδάει ο Μπάμπης Παπαδόπουλος και στα άλλα τρία ο Χρήστος Σαπουντζής, η Εύη Μάζη και η Ανθή Κύρκου.
Το άλμπουμ κυκλοφορεί ψηφιακά σε Spotify, iTunes/Apple, Deezer, Tidal και άλλες υπηρεσίες streaming από την Παρασκευή 24 Φεβρουαρίου, στα δισκοπωλεία σε CD από την Παρασκευή 17 Μαρτίου, ενώ η έκδοσή του σε διπλό βινύλιο κυκλοφορεί από τον Ιούλιο του 2023.
